Jo, I am wondering what area of the chest your and RL find is the most productive for releasing parasites? For instance, I have some brown areas on the side of breasts which is part of the liver area of the body. This is one reason women need to pay attention to liver health, as this meridian runs right through the side of the breast area. The other meridian that runs through the chest area of the breast is the stomach meridian. So this is why I am asking because I have a lot of granules come off in those areas just with a salt bath. It could mean using some liver herbs to move some of these guys out as well as taking care of the spleen/stomach with herbs. We just have too much dampness IMHO which allows these guys to survive in the body. Dampness is the favorite of parasites. I think they may also block the smooth flow of liver blood leading to stagnation in the liver area. I have probably posted some of this info before but just thought to add this here. It is about how important the liver area is to the proper functioning of the female reproductive areas. This is quite poorly understood by Western medicine. TCM is all about trying to keep the body in balance to prevent diseases such as breast cancer. It also I feel may help explain what areas of the body are most effected by morgellons. Knowing this may help point to what herbs to use to perhaps bring the body into better balance. Better balance makes it harder for the baddies to survive in the body:
Functions of the Liver (TCM), Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine information (Vancouver, Chinese herbal medicine, tuina massage, Chinese herbs, pictures, women's health, Chinese medicine history, common disease treatment, acupuncture theory,
"Menstruation will be normal if the Liver is storing blood properly. If the blood is deficient there will be amenorrhea or oligomenorrhea. If there is heat or a Liver excess the blood can move recklessly and cause menorrhagia or metrorrhagia. Bar none the Liver is the main organ of gynecological functioning.
Most problems associated with womens reproductive systems are due to Liver malfunction. Liver Qi stagnation can lead to blood stagnation which can cause painful menses, PMS, and clotting of menstrual blood. The storage of blood also greatly influences the functioning of the Ren and Chong meridians. "
The Chong meridians are the stomach meridians and go right through the breast in the nipple area. So this is why spleen/stomach health (these are paired organs) are so important for women's reproductive health. It is also I think an area where these parasites reproduce. Sometimes I think this could explain why fewer men are effected by morgellons too, as for men the kidneys are of paramount importance in reproductive health. They are not usually as effected by liver stagnation, but of course they also can have this problem. There are no hard and fast rules.
Here is another quote from this same page and something which makes me think that blood deficiency (which increases normally with age) may be involved for some. How many have problems with their eyes, muscle cramps and stiffness? I have noticed over time these are frequently mentioned symptoms for those who are experiencing this morgellons:
"The
blood of the Liver particularly takes care of nourishing the
eyes and tendons. If there is a Liver blood deficiency one will see dry eyes, blurred vision, muscle cramps, and stiffness.
Diseases of the blood can effect the Liver, and Liver diseases can effect the blood causing various skin problems. "
This is why I am hoping the next emphasis for the study of morgellons will be on the blood stream connection, specifically parasites, and away from the fibers per se, although I truly believe identifying the external parasites and their connection to the fibers is important too. I am fairly sure these parasites are not limited to the blood stream as I also believe that the spleen/stomach is involved in harboring these parasites along with the lymph system. I think studying these areas is key to solving this disease although I am also fairly sure that other organ systems are being effected by these parasites as well.
