here's a sketch of a lesion I did. The size of "the worm casing area" is exaggerated. They aren't usually so thick in comparison to the diameter of the lesion.
Also, I wanted to mention, the worms have a variety of lengths but vary within a range of 5 to 50% of the lesion's circumfrence.
