I don't know if it's a foreign organism, something in all of us, or whatever, but when a lesion is "active" there is something beneath the skin around the edge of the sore. It is very much mobile, malleable, elusive, and thus far, impossible to extract without completely mutilating it. I could probably describe it further, but I'm getting mad about it and can't think straight. The nature of it's relationship to the fibrous material in my blood, the creepy crawlies, biting, black dots (micro-fiber balls), etc. is beyond my knowledge, but the thing is there and that's all I have to say about it.
