No Carla its the same here,everything goes mouldy very quickly.The fridge is infested with the damned things.I KNOW FOR A FACT that a lot of the veg is sprayed with some sort of chemical/gas and stored in some sort of fridge for a YEAR before it pokes its head up in the local supermarket.I expect this goes for fruit too.I mean to say look at grapes for instance-they have the consistency of rubber-they bounce for heavens sake!!So its not surprising that it goes mouldy fast.BUT also have seen cabbage etc.covered in black specks before it gets sprayed i.e.coming out of the fields.
Carrots for the horse were the first things to show this to me some years ago.They go mouldy in a day.Then d'ya remember a Govt warning to wash all carrots really well cos there was something on them?No prizes for guessing what!!!!!!!! |
