Hi Kritts, well yes, viruses are winding up in GMO foods and this is why it makes it so dangerous I believe, not only by eating the food itself but eating the creatures which have been fed the food. These genes from viruses and bacteria have the potential for mixing up and making new and stronger creations. Such as cancer. Antibiotic resisitant bacteria. New viruses. New bacteria. These people in la b s apparently do not know what they are doing. Plain and simple, they do not appear to know where their experiments will end up or what will happen to their "harmless" little additions/subtractions/changes to genes. They do not seem to be aware that much of what they have done may fan out and produce potent new superbugs and incurable (with the knowledge we have) diseases. Do you wonder, too, about all the antibiotic resistant superbugs? How does anyone think s/he is smart enough to play god? The American dream of "change is progress" is now on steroids, a healthy serving of transduction if that is how it works. Yeah, it would take a lot to really understand viruses, but maybe we'd better be thankful that we all don't know that much and at least are left with a modicum of common sense.  |
