| Good point there Kritts!!
There was a report on bbc news last night, asking a scientist "why it has taken researchers 50 years to identify the virus/s responsible for the common cold??"
BUT NOW: they have worked out the structure of the rhinovirus. Their are apparently 5 or 6 groups of viruses that cause the common cold and over 200 viruses are playing there part in it's symptoms: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/210667.stm
None of these diseasese are straight forward or simple are they!!!??

Interesting, Jo~ all of a sudden they are cracking the code. I think it's bs myself. I don't believe there are over 200 viruses causing the common cold. I think they are freaking idiots. Now, that is in the UK, right? Why hasn't anyone in the US cracked the code? As far as tons of 'pounds' going into research, I don't know about pounds in the UK, but I do know that the only major DOLLARS going into R&D in the US is minimal as most goes to advertising drugs for something they should be figuring out the freaking cure for. GRRRRR.
