Re: Vanderbilt Protocol Hi Niecy,
My experience and other people's experience i have read about shows that the Vanderbilt protocol does work, some people it takes a long time, some people get better a lot quicker but everybodies different. If your underlying cause isn't some type of infection it obviously wont work. Penicillamine has been prescribed to you because you have an allergy to penicillin and penicillamine very rarely causes problems to people like yourself. If you are worried then you can get your doctor to prescribe you an epipen which contains epinephrine which is what they would use for you if you were to suffer anaphlaxis from the antibiotics. The side effects etc of the tablet, well i think you will find even your common headache tablet to have a list a whole heap of side effects that very rarely even occur. Even natural remedies have the potential to cause side effects. If you have a good doctor treating you, i would put trust into him knowing what to do otherwise there is no point in paying for his consultations.
It is interesting to note that some lyme coinfections can cause shortness of breath like babesia and bartonella and taking antimicrobials will essentuate this when you treat. Although swelling of the lips, mouth and throat is a definite anaphalxis and obviously needs immediate attention. Did your doctor do bloodwork to test what infections you may be carrying? |
