I hope you do try the yogurt recipe! It takes a little more than a day--about 26-30 hours...it comes from a book called "Breaking the Vicious Cycle", and there's a website, pecanbread. com. The book says to only leave the yogurt fermenting for 24 hours (or more if you want). 24 hours is still pretty liquid for me. I don't tolerate casein or lactose, and the longer the stuff sets, the better. If you do let it stay for almost 30 hours, it comes out almost like cream cheese or cottage cheese. It's packed with live cultures! I wish I could drink kefir, but that wouldn't be wise.
Make that little girl of yours some frozen yogurt! It's really good!
