Re: When the mystery is solved Hi,
I know exactly how I got this disease -- I was assaulted by 200 bedbugs during one weekend. That was January 2006 and I brought the bedbugs home with me because the place I stayed didn't inform me of anything, although they were completely aware of the problem. They had 400 people staying there and didn't want a stampede out, or to lose the money. I realized 6 months later without a doubt that all my symptoms -- advanced because I kept getting reinfected -- were due to that weekend and all the biting then and since. I went on the net and the first person who talked about getting Morgellons from bedbugs was somebody who stayed at a hotel in San Francisco. He was absolutely positive, as I am absolutely positive this is where it originated for me. And of course there have been many others before and after who realize that insects are often a vector for this disease, both for humans and for poor animals. So maybe you got one adult bite from a bedbug when you were there. My first lesion was on my leg one and a half years ago and it hasn't healed yet. It doesn't feel "active" like my other lesions, but it has that biofilmy type covering, and when I pick it off it just grows back the exact same way. Well wishes to you, bpw |
