Default Re: When the mystery is solved

Hi Lisa and Linda,

I agree one could get lyme from more than just an insect bite. I have posted in an earlier thread about that and the research which is being done to prove it.

Anyway, I agree morgellons itself is probably transferred by insect vectors or eating food with parasites in it (improperly cooked/raw such as in restaurants or that it drops into food from those infected--sort of the typhoid Mary factor. I do not believe it transfers in an infectious way through the air). Also the dinoflagellates sound as if they could be a factor in some cases. As well as the viral, bacterial, and fungal aspects as part of it all. As you say this is IMHO. No proof.

About doctors and low temperatures and having ones head in the sand: the medical community allows for no dissension in the ranks. If someone has stated that low body temperature is the low end of normal for temperature range doctors all follow like ducklings swimming after their mother in the water and with just about as much thought behind it. I searched for years for a doctor to diagnose my thyroid problem. My TSH was "normal", though now, according to new test range standards-- surprise, surprise--my TSH would fit in the hypo range. Unfortunately doctors treat patient tests and not patient symptoms. Dr. Wilson of the above Wilson's thyroid symptom protocol mentioned just above was a doctor who finally treated me. When the endocrinologists in his state made sure he could no longer treat patients in this new way (the whole protocol is different) I had to find another doctor. Once I had been treated with thyroid medication I had no problem getting treated by the next doctor, though it was with natural thyroid hormone, not the special SRT3 Wilson used. The duck factor won out you see. A doctor had treated me for hypothyroid symptoms, ergo I was hypothyroid (though my tests were the same as before I saw Wilson). Another thing, I never go to endocrinologists as they think they know everything. And if tests are "normal" they will not treat with additional meds even if the patient feels terrible. So I keep my distance. Besides, conventional doctors may turn into lemmings and I do not want to go off that cliff with them.

You probably would have more luck obtaining help if you can locate a doctor who does not follow conventional medicine. I have long since abandoned seeing doctors who only color within the lines because I have had many terrible experiences with them in the past. Mainly I use traditional Chinese medicine and go to other alternative practitioners who are not doctors. Just think most conventional doctors are on a sinking ship when it comes to treating those who have chronic conditions. What TCM calls knotty problems. As we all know from experience not a lot of success in this area from most doctors (not talking about the courageous few who go beyond body mechanic status to practice the true art of medicine).

Best wishes,
