Re: Mites Dear Michelle I know that it is a long time since I have read your post. But the awnser is yes. I have had to throw out so many of my clothes because of these mites. They live and seem to form a web in our clothing and on our body. I also have them in my bed linen and all through my furniture. I spray my furniture with disenfectant every monring. I wash my bed clothes and clothing every day and I still cannot get rid of them. Two things that I do know that affects them is boiling hot water and very very cold water or atmosphere. If I walk my dog on a cold frosty morning they appear in my clothing and in my dogs coat. I have had my blankets packed in plastric bags and sealed tightly and that does not kill them. I have had this for 11 years and I am at the end of my tether. I find it so hard to believe but they breed prolifically. If you put a new item of clothing next to an older one the new one will get infected with this thing in one day!!!!!!!! Wish I could help you more. I keep faace clothes in the deep freeze and if the itching gets too bad I rub the itchy area with the frozen face clothes quite hard and this really does help. Off course the power bill goes up because I am using soo much boiling water. Hang in there keep your chin up. Very best wishes. Roberta. |
